The session commenced with a long ceremonial bell, symbolically inviting everyone to gather around the stage — a nostalgic echo of the traditional school bell.
The proceedings began with a warm welcome address by alumna Ms. Kumud, followed by the honouring of the Chief Guest Mr Nandakumar IRS followed by lighting of the Kuthuvilakku and the school prayer song.
A disciplined March Past by students marked the spirit of unity and celebration, followed by the hoisting of the VSSS and Alumni flags.
As a gesture of peace and aspiration, doves were released, leading into speeches by special invitees and the Chief Guest, celebrating the school’s legacy.
A grand group photo session captured the memorable gathering, after which 50 trees were planted in the VSSS playground — symbolizing growth, sustainability, and the roots of knowledge.
The celebration then continued at the VMHSS campus, where the VMHSS and Alumni flags were hoisted, followed by another group photo session and a community lunch that brought everyone together in camaraderie and nostalgia.
